The flat-screen TV in the room offered a nice touch for entertainment during downtime. Free Wi-Fi provided ease of connectivity throughout my stay.
The carpets on the stairs showed noticeable wear, and the upstairs landing had a heavy smell of cigarette smoke. Breakfast was disappointing. my poached eggs took over 30 minutes and arrived cold. Noise from other guests persisted late into the night, disrupting the peace you’d expect in a village setting.

Our family enjoyed a delightful short stay while exploring the nearby attractions. The kids had a fantastic time at the Wensleydale Creamery, which is just a short walk away and offers delicious cheese tastings. We loved the ample parking right outside, which made it easy to load and unload our bags with the little ones in tow. The breakfast was quite good, although we did experience a bit of a wait on one of the mornings. the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, making it a pleasant family getaway.

The full English breakfast was a highlight, and the beds in the Standard Double Room were comfortable. The staff were friendly and helped us have a great weekend exploring the local area. the bed did slope slightly into the middle, which was noticeable, and the room number 3 we had hoped for was already occupied when we arrived. Despite these issues, the stay was enjoyable overall.
